Bobble Babble: Torii Hunter signed a 5‑year, $90 million contract with the Angels in November of 2007 and played with the team from 2008 to 2012. While his offensive contributions were significant, and his veteran leadership in the dugout was influential, his real impact was in the outfield. Hunter originally came in as the Halo’s everyday centerfielder, but eventually transitioned over to right field. During his time with the Angels, he won two of his nine consecutive Gold Glove Awards. After eventually retiring in 2015, he later rejoined the Angels organization as a special assistant to the GM in 2024.
