Bobble Babble: Dan Haren was acquired by Angels on July 25th, 2010, in a trade with the Arizona Diamondbacks for Joe Saunders, plus prospects Patrick Corbin, Rafael Rodríguez, and Tyler Skaggs. Saunders joined the rotation mid-season and quickly found his rhythm; however, the best season of his career was arguably his 2011 season. He posted a 16-10 record with a 3.17 ERA and only 33 walks. Interestingly, the Angels knew that they were going to give away a bobblehead on this day, but did not know (or announce) who it was going to be until after the season started. The initial promotional calendars indicated that a bobblehead of a “player to be determined” was scheduled for the 25th. It ended up being our man, Dan.
