Bobble Babble: June 22nd, 2022 was one of Shohei Ohtani’s most dominant pitching performances as an Angel. Kansas City was in town and Ohtani was scheduled for the start. He pitched eight complete innings allowing only two hits and one walk. He retired 23 of the last 24 batters he faced and struck out the side twice. His fastball averaged around 99 mph, and his splitter was practically unhittable — the Royals swung and missed 34 times, the most by any team against a single pitcher that season to that point. In the end he struck out 13 Royals, an absolutely incredible display of skill and athleticism. This bobblehead celebrates this day.
