Bobble Babble: Trumbo grew up in Orange County, just minutes from Angel Stadium. He was drafted by the Angels in the 18th round of the 2004 MLB Draft out of Villa Park High School. He turned down a football scholarship to USC to pursue baseball with his hometown team. He debuted with the Angels on September 11th, 2010, but 2011 was his breakout season. He took over first base when Kendrys Morales was injured and ended up leading all rookies in home runs and RBIs. Trumbo finished second in the American League Rookie of the Year voting that year. The following season he moved to right field after Albert Pujols signed with the Angels, and was named an All Star for the first time.
