Bobble Babble: Garret Anderson was drafted by the Angels in the 4th round of the 1990 MLB Draft. He developed quickly through the minors and debuted in 1994. He became a full-time player in 1995 and immediately showed the traits that would define his career: high contact, doubles power, and consistency. Anderson would eventually become the offensive leader of the team and was selected as an All Star three times (2002, 2003, and 2005). He has the very unique distinction of being one of only a very small handful of players to have won the Home Run Derby and been named the All Star Game MVP in the same year.
