Bobble Babble: Tim Salmon spent his entire 14-year Major League career with the Angels, becoming one of the most beloved and respected players in franchise history. Known for his steady power, professionalism, and leadership, Salmon bridged multiple eras of Angels baseball — from the team’s struggles in the ’90s to its first-ever World Series championship in 2002. Strangely, in a very unique quirk of baseball lore, Salmon is one of the only players ever to win Rookie of the Year and a World Series title, but never make an All Star Team. But considering his impact on the organization, and the fact that he earned the nickname “Mr. Angel”, it is fitting that the team’s first-ever bobblehead giveaway as a regular season promotional item would be in honor of him.
